Discover Scuba Diving Programs
The Discover Scuba and the Scuba Discovery Programs are designed to provide an overall look and introduction to
Scuba Diving and the underwater world. This program is conducted in a controlled environment under the direct supervision of a certified instructor. The
program allows you to try scuba diving before taking a full certification course.
You are given an introduction to basic scuba equipment and scuba skills followed by an underwater tour in
the local marine environment.
Aquanauts Program
The Downeast Diving Aquanauts program, is an innovative course designed to provide children
from the ages of 8 and up with an introduction to scuba diving in a controlled environment
under the direct supervision of a certified instructor. Children are given the opportunity to try
breathing underwater in this confined water setting. The instructor covers topics such as the
scuba diving history, scuba diving equipment, the ocean, and the marine life. This program is fun for the instructor
as well as the children. Through a visual and hands on learning environment, children have a great time
and an experience focusing them on the future to becoming a scuba diver.
Open Water Scuba Diver Course
The Open Water Scuba Diver course is an entry-level certification course designed to give
students the necessary skills to safely conduct open water dives in conditions similar to
their training without the direct supervision of an instructor. The course covers all the
basic knowledge about equipment, physiology and the marine environment while training
students to perform basic skills underwater.
Scuba Diver Review Programs
The Scuba Diver Review Program's are designed to update and review the knowledge and skill level
of an individual who wants to "brush up", or who has not dived for some time.
Advanced Diver
Program
The Advanced Diver Program's take you beyond those open water scuba diving day's. The program's can take
you deeper or diving darker environments as in the deep or night diving specialties. These programs have you diving, which
means you are doing just that, diving. These exciting diving specialites will have you diving long after the course is through.

Rescue Diver Course
The rescue certification course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills
for and individual to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, and administer
necessary first aid. Students are taught skills such as how to perform self rescues,
recognize and calm potential panic divers, and administer proper first aid to bends
victims.
Master Scuba Diver
Program
This is certainly a goal of many enthusiastic scuba divers. The
Master Scuba Diver program is designed and conducted to help you truly become a Master Diver.
Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a significant amount of training
and experience in a variety of dive environments. Though considered the pinacle level in the
recreational scuba diving level, it does not stop there. This program will help you on your way to
reaching the professional level of Divemaster.
Divemaster Course
The Divemaster course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for an
individual to lead certified divers in the open water environment. Upon completion,
graduates may assist instructors during diving courses and supervise and conduct dives for
certified divers. This course trains candidates to have leadership level knowledge and
skill.
The Assistant instructor course is designed for students to gain practical teaching
experience with an active instructor. Students will help an instructor teach an Open Water
Scuba Diver course, Advanced Diver Course, and Rescue Diver Course. Upon completion of the
course graduates may teach and certify Skin Divers, conduct the In-active diver program,
and conduct the knowledge Quest review in the Open Water Diver Course.
CPR and Medic First Aid Courses
There are several courses designed to meet your needs. There is a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, medic first aid,
and an emergency oxygen administration courses, as well as a course combing all into one program.
These courses are designed to teach divers and non-divers the proper techniques to aid in emergency situations, and safely administer CPR
and oxygen in emergency situations
